Chiropractic & Yoga

As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I focus a lot of my efforts on injury prevention, healthy lifestyle practices including nutrition and exercise, and the body’s ability to heal itself. Yoga is a great tool for staying healthy because it’s based on similar principles.

Like yoga, the chiropractic approach to wellness focuses on your body’s natural tendency toward health and self-healing. The purpose of yoga is to build strength, awareness and harmony in both the mind and body by creating better responses to stress. Chiropractic adjustments also help the body deal with stress.

Chiropractic focuses on balancing tension in the spine and can benefit any yogi, from brand new to super experienced. Many of the health benefits seen in yoga are also seen with chiropractic care and are even better when the two are used together! Yoga and chiropractic both can lessen chronic pain including lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome. They can also help with functional concerns providing improvements like lower blood pressure and reduced insomnia.
